Types of Poems
As you have learned in class, poetry can come in all forms. The ones below are the types of poems that you will be writing for your books. Click on their names to see an example of that poem and how you can write one of your own.

Find and click on the purple and orange worm (hint: it's crawling on the grass!) to read the poem "Hiccups." Out of the nine poems you had to write for your poetry books, which one does "Hiccups" match best? Then, pick any of the poems and think about the terms that you've learned. What terms can you identify working in the poem that you've picked? Don't forget that poems are best when they are read out loud! |
